Atlanta is such a vibrant and colorful city! It is the perfect place to escape for the weekend and enjoy the city. There are so many things to do and see here. Read to see what we were able to do in a span of 48 hours. 

Georgia Aquarium

A trip to Atlanta is not complete without visiting the Georgia Aquarium! It is one of the biggest attractions in Atlanta. There are six separate galleries, with more than 70 habitats, 10 million gallons of water, and thousands of marine life. You could spend a whole day here admiring the marine life. Not only is it entertaining, but you learn so much about these special animals and our oceans. Tickets are $44.95 in person and $39.95 if you purchase it online. I highly recommend experiencing this amazing aquarium! 

Visit Downtown

Downtown Atlanta is a whole vibe in itself! The city views are stunning and there is so much to do there. Here you will find:

 

  • Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame
  • Georgia Aquarium 
  • Centennial Olympic Park
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Park 
  • Mercedes-Benz Stadium 
  • National Center for Civil and Human Rights
  • World of Coca-Cola
  • Skyview Atlanta 

Piedmont Park

A perfect place to surround yourself in nature and watch the sunset. We saw such a beautiful sunset with the Atlanta Skyline in the back. We saw so many people biking, running, walking, playing soccer, and playing frisbee. They also have a monthly schedule filled with events such as gardening classes, walking history tours, trivia night, and a farmers market.  

Beltline

The Atlanta Beltline is a 22 mile loop of unused railroad tracks which loops around the city. It connects neighborhoods, dining, and unique places throughout the city. We went for a run around the Beltline and it was filled with so much amazing art and murals. It is the perfect place to go on a walk, run, bike, or skate. After our run, we went to Playa Bowls to fuel up with some Acai! 

Botanical Garden

This place was nothing but pure magic! We went as the sun was setting so we could see the lights.  During the fall, the put Christmas lights all over the park and it is absolutely stunning. It truly will put you in the holiday spirit! Grab a friend and go walk around this park to experience this beauty. Beware, the park is HUGE and you may get lost, so make sure grab a map. Park admission for an adult is $24.95(Tuesday-Friday) and $27.95 during the weekend. Get your tickers here. 

Ponce City Market

If you are a FOODIE, this place is for YOU. From tacos to pizza to ice cream to sushi, they have it all and more. Not only are there restaurants, but there are so many cute shops. The rooftop also has a stunning view of the Atlanta skyline.
